NEW START FOR KRAOMITA
Sofremines has just started a feasibility study on Kraomita Malagasy's long-standing project to mine the chromite deposit at Bemanevika. Surveyed by BRGM under an agreement dating from mid-1988, the deposit is said to have reserves allowing for production at a rate of 300,000 tons per annum of run-of-mine ore beyond the year 2020.
