Gandhi’s plan to take Kismayo
The plan to oust the al-Shabaab Islamist militia from the port of Kismayo and turn it into the capital of an autonomous Jubaland administration, with himself as President, was devised by the French-Somalian Mohamed Abdi Mohamed known as Gandhi in 2009 while he was defence minister of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG, ruling in Mogadishu).
