Conflict in Ethiopia
The Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) has been the subject of scathing criticism from the Federal Environmental Control Authority (FECA). Several weeks ago, this government agency whose task is to monitor the preservation of natural resources, sent a letter to the general manager of ETC, Tesfaye Biru about the purchase of 85 tonnes of highly toxic chemicals, used to prevent termites from damaging wooden electric pylons.
