Kampala wants the DRC to abandon its lawsuit
The Ugandan authorities launched a diplomatic campaign in an effort to convince the president of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Joseph Kabila, to abandon the procedures his country opened in 1999 at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague against President Yoweri Museveni's government for violating human rights and stealing the DRC's resources.
