Employees of the Somali embassy in Nairobi who were working there at the time of the destitution of the former head of state, Siad Barre, in 1991 have just appealed to the Kenyan authorities to prevent the sale of the Somali ambassador's residence, situated in Nairobi's Lower Kabete neighbourhood, which the Mogadiscio government had purchased in 1970.
