UPTC DIFFICULTIES
The depreciation of the Ugandan shilling against the US dollar (dropping from US$1 = 900 shillings a few months ago to 1,200 shillings today) had brought the Uganda Posts and Telecommunications Corporation foreign exchange losses running into millions of dollars as a result of UPTC international operations or repayment of its loans in foreign exchange.
