UGANDA
PETROLEUM MISCALCULATIONS
Ugandan natural resources minister Henry Kajura announced on March 25 that the government in Kampala had decided to put an end to the petroleum exploration permit covering Lake Albert which had been awarded to Uganda General Works and Engineering Company Ltd, a Ugandan subsidiary of the US firm International Resource Development Group, on the grounds of for non-compliance with terms of the contract.
