AIRPORT WOBBLIES
Tanzania's air traffic controllers are worried about growing environmental hazards around airports. Wence Rwechungura, chairman of Tanzania Air Traffic Controllers Association, used a recent TATCA meeting in Dar es Salaam to put out a warning about unplanned and uncontrolled construction close to airports which constitute a danger for aircraft and make it almost impossible to extend runways in future.
