Kikuyu support for Kibaki dwindles

Certain of the most loyal Kikuyu supporters of President Mwai Kibaki can’t find a role in the new constitution that the Head of State will put to a referendum on 4 August. It is not only the text of the constitution that troubles them, but more importantly the referendum campaign – they see it as the launching pad to send Prime Minister Raila Odinga into orbit in readiness for the 2012 presidential election. (...)   [736 words]   [€8]
