Jakaya Kikwete plunged into the depth of the Malagasy crisis
While his country was playing host to the recent summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) which recommended that neither Marc Ravalomanana nor Andry Rajoelina aka TGV should run in the 2013 presidential election in Madagascar, the Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete held meetings with each of the two protagonists in the Malagasy crisis in turn.
