Bringing in the tourists without direct flights
The Seychelles government is deeply worried by the sharp fall in the number of tourists from France, and so sent a delegation to Paris on 21 May to try and give tour operators and airlines a boost. The Minister for Tourism, Alain St Ange, his colleague Joël Morgan (interior and transport), the chairman of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), David Savy, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), Elsia Grandcourt, all went along on this lightning visit to try and stem the erosion of French clientele.
