How opposition prevented FRELIMO from taking their strongholds in local polls
After weeks of contestation, the mayors of Mozambique's 65 local authorities will finally be sworn in on 7 February. Of these, 61 will come from the ruling FRELIMO party. The opposition RENAMO and MDM parties have however managed to hang on to two of the country's key cities.
