Mass sackings, investment costs, oil company departures and revenues in free fall constitute a powder keg on which the family, which has been in power since 1979, is sitting. Sensing the danger, family patriarch Jose Eduardo Dos Santos has put his daughter, Isabel Dos Santos, in charge of state oil company Sonangol in the hope that she can right the situation.
