Franco-Moroccan groups battle it out for COP22 contracts

The contracts linked to the COP22 climate conference in Marrakesh in November have whetted the appetites of the leading French events groups and their Moroccan allies. To keep tight control of preparations for the biggest diplomatic event ever staged by the kingdom, but also because foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar and his environment colleague Hakima El Haite could leave their posts just before the conference starts, Mohammed VI has entrusted interior minister Mohamed Hassad with its organization. With a week to go to the opening of bids, Maghreb Confidential reports on the state of play.
