India jostles to compete with Italy in Kenya's space sector

The South Asian giant, which attended the Kenya Space Expo in June, aims to make the most of the country's ambitions to become a key player in Africa's space sector. However, it faces competition from another of Kenya's long-standing partners: Italy.

Breaking news published on 29/06/24 at 11:30 GMT - Following a fresh attack by Houthi rebels in Yemen, shipping giant Mediterranean Shipping Co has suspended most of its Red Sea operations at the ports of Djibouti and Berbera in Somaliland, according to our sources.
