New interim president Colonel Assimi Goita has dismissed his predecessor Ban N'Daw's key collaborators. He is also preparing a number of "adjustments" in the security services and putting the finishing touches to the team which will be joining him at the Koulouba Palace.

The transport minister Moez Chakchouk is struggling to make progress on the Enfidha deepwater port project, which has been in the pipeline for nearly two decades now. And the American donation of $324m for expanding the port of Radès is conditional on its privatisation, which is unacceptable to the UGTT union.
