Tebboune shakes up his secret services

As he restructures the intelligence services, a process that he embarked upon in July, the Algerian leader is retaking control of an apparatus that for many years had enjoyed a certain autonomy from presidential oversight.

The former Emir of Kano and newly-elected head of the powerful Fulani association Tabital Pulaaku International, can boast one of the most extensive address books in the region. He plans to meet several west African presidents in the coming weeks.
