The debate over how to deploy $35m inherited from the Conseil National de la Vanille, the former body regulating the vanilla industry, has taken a new turn. The sector's sole trade association, the GEVM, is opposing a plan to use part of the money to buy back stock and is demanding clarification from the junta.
