Robert Friedland loses Ivanhoe Atlantic boss

The Australian Bronwyn Barnes has left the mining company owned by the US-Canadian magnate. After securing fragile concessions from Monrovia for the Nimba iron project, she met resistance from Guinea, whose approval is also required to begin extraction.

France and the US have organised a low-key meeting today between Ibrahim Dbeibeh, adviser to the Government of National Unity PM, and Saddam Haftar, son of the Libya National Army leader. The aim is to reach an agreement to unify national institutions.
