French and German firms neck and neck for Zagtouli Solar Power Station extension contract

German engineering company Gopa Intec and a consortium of French firms Artelia and Energtec are now the only two bidders remaining for the contract for the supervision of extension work at the Zagtouli Solar Power Station in Burkina Faso.

Paris-Algiers ties still strained over extradition requests

A diplomatic détente between Algeria and France has failed to resolve a row over the former's extradition requests to the latter. The case of the Franco-Algerian opposition figure Amira Bouraoui, who was recently exfiltrated to France, has only poured fuel on the fire.
