Senate criticises $700m tax rebate given to Glencore
In an unpublished parliamentary report, DR Congo senators have objected to the role of President Félix Tshisekedi's office in the 2021 tax breaks granted to Swiss commodity trader Glencore.
The winding up of the late Congolese lawyer Emery Mukendi's law firm has triggered a battle both in and out of court in the US and the DRC between his family and Elite Law Firm, an entity founded by several of his former partners.
