Perenco's former GM in Congo, Christophe Blanc, ups sticks to London
The former head of Perenco's Congo subsidiary Christophe Blanc has joined the French oil group's London headquarters. He was replaced by Stéphane Barc in September.
The appointment of Perenco's technical director as head of the oil company's new Chadian subsidiary is likely to have a domino effect at the top. Of particular interest is who would take over from group general manager Benoît de la Fouchardière, who according to several sources may be on the way out of the door.
The British junior, newly arrived in Chad, intends to do everything in its power to gain the approval of the country's authorities. It is preparing to develop huge electrification projects in its production area of Doba and near N'Djamena.
