Kinshasa seeks to eliminate M23 political wing under Corneille Nangaa

The activities of the DRC's former electoral commission boss, who is now the political face of the eastern rebellion, are alarming the Tshisekedi administration, which planned to have him killed in late 2023.

M23 rebels and RDF gear up to counter drone threat from Congolese army

The Rwandan-backed M23 rebels are taking seriously the threat posed by CH-4 combat drones acquired by the Congolese army. The drones were recently deployed to a base near the areas the insurgents control in North Kivu.

Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi's adviser on security issues is meeting with the head of the country's national intelligence agency in Paris. The two will then hold talks with French officials and intelligence chiefs with December's elections looming and against the backdrop of the war with the M23.
