Congo makes final bid to block sale of Sassou's seized Falcon jet

Congolese President Denis Sassou-Nguesso is making a final push to prevent the sale of his jet, which is scheduled for 3 October in France. This may be the final act in a long legal battle launched by Commisimpex, which is owned by Lebanese businessman Mohsen Hojeij.

The Bordeaux court of appeal is to rule today on whether the Congolese president's plane, seized in 2020 by Commisimpex, can be auctioned off. It is one of Congo's last chances of recovering the aircraft.
