N'Djamena turns to Brussels for funds to disarm and reintegrate rebels

Following its stalled negotiations with Qatar, the Chadian government is hoping to persuade the European Union to fund its Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) programme, that was a key part of the Doha peace agreement. Although the venture has attracted the interest of certain EU member states, it is unlikely to succeed.
