Local cotton hit by fertiliser price surge

The CNPC-C cotton growers' association is preparing to secure 60,000 tonnes of inputs amid a sharp rise in prices. Already weakened by significant cashflow tensions, the plant-based textile fibre sector is seeking new financing to get through the next campaign.
