In early 2021, a small delegation of executives from the Bridgeway Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bridgeway Capital Management, the Texan company founded by financier and committed Christian John Montgomery, travelled to Goma in eastern DRC. There, it had a long meeting with Scott Fagan, the diplomat responsible for the region at the US embassy in Kinshasa. The meeting was not just a courtesy call of the kind made by NGO representatives and diplomats in Africa every day.
