The Gogo hydroelectric dam's potential for the mining industry
The project to quadruple the capacity of the small 2MW Gogo hydropower plant in south-western Kenya (Migori County), on the border with Tanzania, has been given a major boost.

US power producer Ormat Technologies secured surprisingly advantageous rates for the power it produces at its 139 MW geothermal power plant in Olkaria. The Department of State has asked investigators to look into Ormat's relationship with the national distributor Kenya Power.
