President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh's three children have grown their businesses under their father's protective wing and the benevolence of government banks and institutions.

After 23 years in power, President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh (IOG) has a vision for the Heron peninsula, the historical heart of Djibouti: a Dubai-like skyline of high-rise buildings and five-star hotels where currently sit the docking machinery of the bulk port, white two-storey buildings and a French military base. To help bring this his dream to light, the president has, as he often does when a project is close to his heart, brought in his family circle, most specifically his children.
