Former Mogadishu spymaster points finger at ex-Djibouti police chief
Fahad Yasin Haji Dahir, the head of the Somali intelligence services until 2021, has accused Djibouti, and in particular its former police chief, of plotting his disappearance.
First, two members of the family of finance minister Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, whose presidential ambitions are well known, were implicated in the investigation against the former budget minister. And now one of his close collaborators is also in the firing line.
One after another heads are falling in Djibouti's ministries. Since 2 January, four ministers or former ministers have been dismissed, indicted or questioned by the public prosecutor. Those fallen all share a common thread, a taste for the spotlight that has been too strong for the liking of the president's office.
