Covert mission led by Sudanese officers to train Somali militias

In recent months, a team of Sudanese military personnel has trained a thousand Somali recruits in the state of Galmudug. The operation was led by the Mogadishu intelligence services, headed by Mahad Salad, against a backdrop of internal tensions between the federal states.
