Kenyatta bestows honorary environmental awards on close allies before leaving office
As his term comes to a close, the Kenyan president has made a number of prominent public figures in his administration "honorory wardens" for their efforts to protect the environment, a largely symbolic title which adds weight when mobilising foreign investments for tourism projects.
