Veon still waiting for payment from Algeria following the state's Djezzy takeover
Announced on 1 July, Algeria's purchase of Dutch-Russian group Veon's 45% stake in the mobile operator Djezzy has not been finalised, as Algiers has yet to make the $682m payment to the Dutch-Russian group. The group's general manager Matthie Galvani and his management team are therefore still in place.
