Ayman Soliman appears to have been spending as much time recently flying business class as behind his desk on the 12th floor of an office block on Zamalek Island on the Nile in Cairo.

The CEO of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (SFE) has visited Doha and Dubai in recent months and in December made a trip to the French capital for meetings with the employers' organisation MEDEF and the chambers of commerce and industry of Paris and the Île-de-France region. Soliman is seeking to convince international investors
