Malian opposition figures excluded from Ivorian soldiers' release deal
The fate of Malian opposition members in Ivory Coast was a sticking point throughout negotiations for the release of 49 Ivorian soldiers held in Mali, with Bamako dropping that extradition demand ultimately its main concession. Alassane Outtara has invited Assimi Goita to Abidjan, but that official visit seems a longshot for now.
