Areva was a French company specialising in the energy sector, particularly in the nuclear field. Founded in 2001, it was involved in the design, construction and decommissioning of nuclear power plants, as well as in the nuclear fuel cycle. In 2018, Areva was restructured and sold some of its activities to Orano.
