Sinopec

Sinopec, or China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, is a state-owned Chinese oil company. In 2009, the company acquired the Swiss firm Addax and closed its Geneva headquarters in September 2017, after being implicated by a preliminary inquiry into the bribing of Nigerian state officials. An out-of-court settlement was reached, but the affair may yet be resurrected in the United States.
