A month ago, the bulk carrier West Trader left the Guinean port of Konta and is currently approaching Singapore, where it is expected to dock on 28 March. Its holds contain 150,000 tonnes of bauxite, worth about €1,8m. That cargo had been under the scrutiny of the Conakry Commercial Court in early February and should never have left the country.
