Plot thickens in Helin International money laundering investigation

In a case involving allegedly misappropriated funds from the wealth management fund being investigated in several jurisdictions, it has emerged that Russian-Swiss investor Aleksei Korotaev recently attempted to capture assets from these Helin International accounts, despite being scrutinised by US investigators.

Helin and Orano uranium sale probe speeds up with Paris searches

A lawyer who worked closely with wealth manager Helin International had his home and office searched last month in Paris. Investigators were looking for documents related, among other things, to companies registered by Hélin and used to channel proceeds of the loss-making 2011 sale of uranium from Niger by Orano (formerly Areva).
