Sassou's Falcon jet not up for sale before summer
With the Paris Court of Cassation due to hand down a ruling in early February, the Falcon 7X jet belonging to the Congolese president's office looks like it will not be going on sale before July.
Although Sam Zormati was not directly targeted by the legal action brought before the ECOWAS Court of Justice by his former business partner Ibrahima Kassus Dioubaté, the role played by the entrepreneur is a recurrent theme in the 45-page ruling handed down by the magistrates in Abuja.
Because Congo's exasperated creditors keep a constant eye on it, the country's presidential Falcon 7X has flown furtively for months. Alas, an oversight allowed Mohsen Hojeij, who says Congo owes him vast sums of money, to take possession of the jet on 6 June.
