Macky Sall's APR party riven by divisions as parliamentary elections loom

The Alliance pour la République (APR), the party that carried Macky Sall to victory in the last two presidential elections, is faced with major internal dissensions. Apart from wars between party leaders, the APR is struggling to maintain party unity at its local branches. The conflictual atmosphere could cost it dearly in the parliamentary elections, just after its poor performance in the municipal elections.
