UN chief Guterres tasks Sahle-Work Zewde with rebuilding regional influence

The former Ethiopian president will carry out an assessment of UNOWAS, which is struggling to have an impact in the Sahel, and consider avenues for revitalising the UN in West Africa. From New York to Dakar, her strategic review is being closely watched.
