The Turkish government is strengthening its ties with the self-styled Libyan National Army, while its military officials are holding talks with generals in both the west and east of the divided state. In return, Ankara could secure a lucrative deal on maritime boundaries in the Mediterranean.
The Congolese army is currently taking delivery of more than a hundred armoured vehicles supplied by the Emirati company International Golden Group (IGG). Some units have already been deployed, notably against the M23 in the east.
