Paris switches tack on information warfare against Russia

France is preparing to implement a new information warfare tool in Africa to counter Moscow's influence. This involves the creation of a task force within the foreign ministry and another within the ministry of armed forces, but also the use of private providers.

Tensions are running high between the vice-president of Equatorial Guinea and European leaders over a corruption case involving ill-gotten gains. But the affair has also turned into useful ammunition for Malabo against Teodorin Obiang Nguema as next year's general election looms.

After Mohammed bin Salman cancelled his visit to Algiers at the end of July, Algerian prime minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane abandoned his own trip to Riyadh. Tensions are mounting around the organisation of the Arab League summit on 1 and 2 November.
