How Abu Dhabi calmed African countries' protests over its visa freeze

The United Arab Emirates' introduction of a surprise freeze on visas for the citizens of 13 countries, five of them African (Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Kenya and Somalia), on 18 November provoked a wave of protest.
