From Paris to Beijing, Dakar increasingly isolated in its standoff with the IMF
In addition to stalled negotiations with the International Monetary Fund over a new programme, the Senegalese government is having to contend with a shift in the position of several powers, foremost among them France. Paris is now leaning towards favouring a restructuring of the country's debt and has conveyed this stance to China.
