Kais Saied in Brussels to resume talks with EU partners

Tunisian president Kais Saied is leaving the country for the first time in several months to attend the EU-AU summit. The political and economic situation in Tunisia is deteriorating and he is keen to exit the diplomatic isolation which his coup of 25 July last year has placed him in.

Potential Ukrainian wheat supply blockage for Algiers and Cairo

The Moscow-Kyiv crisis is leading to a drastic reduction in the volume of grain shipped from Black Sea ports. Fearing a Russian offensive, shipping companies are now refusing to make new commitments to traders.
