Algiers struggles to keep Mali's long-running peace talks alive
Keen to defend its reputation on the international stage, Algeria wants to keep playing a key role in the implementation of the peace agreement signed in Algiers in 2015 which aimed to bring peace to the north of Mali. Its new foreign minister has recently been trying to bring all parties to the negotiating table.
