BP dithers over Tortue phase one launch
The British oil major has repeatedly revised its timetable for the offshore gas field as problems mount, much to the annoyance of the two governments involved.
US oil junior Kosmos Energy hopes to convince the Ghanian government to allow it to become the country's leading oil company. It is currently well placed to acquire Occidental Petroleum's assets in Ghana but needs government approval for the operation.
American business lawyer David Asmus has worked on LNG projects all over Africa. After having advised on projects in Malabo and Maputo, he is now counselling the government in Dakar on development of the Grand Tortue-Ahmeyim field that Senegal shares with Mauritania.
