Tycoon Bonkoungou launches new airline in Togo
Following on from his company Liza Transport International (LTI), Mahamadou Bonkoungou, head of the EBOMAF group, is preparing to launch a new carrier in Togo dedicated to regular flights.
The ousting of President Alpha Condé by Col Mamady Doumbouya has not, as yet, affected the country's mining operations. In company headquarters, mining executives are waiting for the junta's next moves and making plans to manage the transition.
Mahamadou Bonkoungou, owner of Air transport company LTI, recently purchased a new luxury jet, used by the president of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, among others. He also invested in a freighter for his construction company Ebomaf.
As business magnates Michel Tomi and Samuel Dossou see their business aviation companies go into nosedive, the aircraft operated by Burkina Faso's Mahamadou Bonkoungou are attracting bookings from presidencies throughout West Africa and will soon start flying from Central Africa as well.
